Recent X1/9s
Nick has been working
with X1/9 projects for over two decades as there is the constant demand
for X1/9s to be restored, modified and generally fettled. With over twenty
years experience, P1X 2000 has proved to its customers that X1/9s can be
reliable, comfortable and sensational to drive. Here are some of the
cars that have been completed in recent years:

|
A Modified 1500
The lower half of this car was
taken back to bare metal and rust was cut out where necessary.
The bumpers were also removed and all the remaining holes were
welded and filled too ready for a partial re-spray. P1X
installed the engine which had been rebuilt with modified components.
A modified air box was constructed to house the twin throttle
bodies.

A Gran Finale Mini-Restoration
This car was in remarkably good
condition for its ages and had covered very little mileage.
The owner wanted all of the rust removed which was starting to
appear in the usual Gran Finale places. A good wax-oil
completed the job to aid many more years of rust free motoring.

A Full Gran Finale
Restoration
Although a
reliable car, the body of this Gran Finale was beginning to show
it's age. The rust was cut out and new steel welded in areas
including the roll over bar, nose cone, front wings and rear wheel
arches. Following on from this, hours of rubbing down the bodywork
was the key to this beautiful mica blue paint job.

Lancia 2.0 Twin-Cam
Conversion
This has been
a long term project and major work has been carried out. Along
with the installation of a 2.0 engine from a Lancia Beta, this X1/9
has received a full body restoration, including the desirable P1X
front end conversion. A central tunnel has been constructed to
strengthen the floor-pan, as well as reinforced sills, so the car is
able to cope with the extra power. The car is now back on the
road being used by one happy owner! Click

A 1300 Bumper Conversion
This X1/9 was an early 1500 model
in very good condition. The owner wanted to achieve the 1300
look on it so we removed the 1500 bumpers and began modifying the
bodywork. We were able to obtain a fiberglass front spoiler to
compliment the early design. We can supply these items.

An Early 1500 Model
Following the request of the
customer, the mechanical components of this car were worked right
through to achieve a fun and reliable form of transport. The
tired engine and box were replaced with low mileage replacements,
broken components were rectified, electrical faults were sorted and
after minor welding, the car received a full MOT. A replacement
interior, a set of spot lights and a sports exhaust were the final
stages in complimenting the car.

A Near-Immaculate Early 1500 Model
A delight to work on, this car came
to our workshop for servicing and a clutch master cylinder. As
requested, we checked the car right through and were pleased to
inform the new owner that this X1/9 was one of the best we had ever
worked on. Following some routine brake work and general
servicing / tuning, this car became a delight to drive.

A Modified 1500 This car was re-sprayed by Nick in
Ferrari Red, over 10 years ago and the paint still looks brand new
today. The recent owner has opted for a P1X front end
conversion, complete with 1300 bumpers. As the vehicle had
been standing for years, a total brake overhaul was required along
with a re-con gear box and other items. Complete with a modified
exhaust system, filter and coil-over suspension, this car is awesome
on the road and attracts attention wherever it goes. The
pictures speak for themselves.
