Nick is currently working on a series of projects including finishing off his own 24v V6 for summer 2010.

A 3.2 GTA V6 conversion The largest and most powerful V6 engine is being fitted into this customer's 1500 X1/9. Ironically, the car is the same colour as Nick's car (mica red) so some of the installation pics look incredibly similar. This car however is having a mixture of dallara/eurosport bodywork to accommodate its massive alloy wheels. One of its many features includes a custom front end where by a VW radiator is used. The mountings for storing the roof have been cleverly engineered so that the targa top can still fit in the front, sit above the front mounted petrol tank and channel air from the base of the radiator out through custom bonnet vents, in order to aid the cooling. This car is also benefiting from Avo coilovers, Alfa GTA brembo front brakes and Audi tt rear calipers.

A 1500 - to 3.0 V6 24v Cloverleaf - Nick's car. This solid SE model is currently being stripped as a shell to be transformed into a 3.0 V6 P1X. The 3.0 V6 24V Cloverleaf engine is now installed and the car is on the road for testing. Summer 2010 should see the completion of the paint job and installation of the interior. A full restoration
and 1400 Uno Turbo Conversion An Uno Turbo car with a rebuilt engine was purchased from Avanti Motorsport in sommerset. The Uno was MOT'd to put a few miles on the engine and run it in nicely. The X1/9 has been stripped to a shell and modified with box steel along the sills for rigidity. The car is now virtually rust fee and is awaiting its engine to be fitted and a nice paint job. Avanti have also built a modified X19 gearbox with 1300 Uno Turbo internals. |
